We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Quest KACE and On Demand Migration Tools Specialist. This role involves managing and maintaining Quest KACE systems management solutions and On Demand Migration tools to ensure efficient and smooth operation within our organization. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in system administration, network management, and migration tools, along with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, configure, and maintain Quest KACE systems management solutions to meet organizational requirements.
- Administer and troubleshoot Quest KACE appliances, including deployment, patch management, asset management, and software distribution.
- Design and implement scripted solutions using KACE scripting capabilities to automate repetitive tasks and streamline processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate KACE systems with existing infrastructure and applications.
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users regarding KACE systems management tools, resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as system upgrades, database optimization, and performance tuning for optimal KACE performance.
- Plan and execute migrations using On Demand Migration tools for various platforms and applications, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Develop migration strategies, documentation, and best practices to facilitate smooth transitions during migration projects.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of migration processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy post-migration.
- Monitor migration progress and performance metrics, identifying and addressing any issues or bottlenecks as they arise.
- Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to plan and execute migration schedules, ensuring minimal impact on end-users and business operations.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and advancements in systems management and migration tools, incorporating best practices into our processes and workflows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience working with Quest KACE systems management solutions, including deployment, configuration, and administration.
- Strong understanding of system administration principles and best practices, including Windows and/or Linux environments.
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, VBScript, or Batch scripting for automation tasks.
- Familiarity with On Demand Migration tools for platforms like Microsoft Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results within defined timelines.
- Relevant certifications such as Quest KACE Certified Administrator (KCA), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or similar credentials are a plus.
